1What is the Workforce Innovation Grant?
The Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) provides federal grants to help displaced workers pay for approved career training in high-demand sectors. This is a program-funded grant, not a loan, and never has to be repaid.
2Can I keep my IDES unemployment benefits while in school?
Yes. Under the IDES Section 500.C Waiver, individuals enrolled in an approved training program are exempt from the standard work-search requirement, allowing you to collect UI while attending class full-time.
