An archival index of the Local Workforce Innovation Areas (LWIAs) across the State of Illinois. These regions were established under the Workforce Innovation and Opportunity Act (WIOA) to coordinate employment, economic development, and contractor compliance.

LWIA 1: Lake County
Serving the greater Lake County region with a heavy historical focus on skilled trades, residential construction, HOA regulations, and local zoning adherence.
LWIA 21: West Central
Historically managed by the West Central Development Council, covering 6 counties. Includes archival records of regional grants and employment training.
LWIA 2: McHenry County
Administering WIOA Title I services, employment programs, and trade training networks for McHenry County municipalities.
LWIA 3: Northern Stateline
Served by The Workforce Connection, providing critical support for the Rockford industrial corridor and northern manufacturing sectors.
LWIA 6: DuPage County
Supporting economic development, business grants, and corporate workforce compliance across the DuPage region.
LWIA 7: Chicago & Cook
The largest LWIA in Illinois, operating comprehensive job centers and managing large-scale service integration across Cook County.
LWIA 15: North Central
Managed via Career Link, providing structural workforce support, internships, and project field sites across the Peoria metropolitan area.
LWIA 22: Southwestern
Facilitating the Region 9 WIOA plan, focusing on local apprenticeship programs, youth contracts, and employment training initiatives.
