IWP COMMITTEES

STRATEGIC  COMMITTEE

Priority 1: Communicating Our Value and Building Advocacy
  • Identify strategic partners, industry/professional associations,
    federal/state legislative leaders, etc. and assign IWP members to engage
    them by September 30th.
  • Get better understanding of funding availability and educate our
    strategic partners/stakeholders on those issues by September 30th.

Priority 2: Value Proposition to Our Membership
  • With the Programmatic committee, develop the Leadership Institute and formalize the mentoring/succession process (e.g. credentialing of staff)

Priority 3: Reinvention of Workforce Development
  • Enhance effectiveness, influence and leadership of Workforce Boards
    and local elected officials to prepare for change.

        1.   Sponsor one-on-one forums for WIB members and LEO’s to   
              enhance effectiveness, leadership and influence
        2.   Adopt Boards of Excellence model

PROGRAMMATIC  COMMITTEE
  • Purpose — text to come.


IWP WORKGROUPS

COMMUNICATIONS
  • Purpose — Develop a comprehensive marketing and public relations plan
    for promotions of IWP and provide marketing and public relations support for all other committees.

PERFORMANCE MANAGEMENT TASKFORCE
  • Purpose — Assure members are aware of WIA Title 1B Policy enabling IWP
    to be pro-active regarding federal, state, and local policies and procedures.
